Hyundai timing belt interval

You will need to know your vehicle’s engine size to use this table. Once you know, you can determine your Hyundai timing belt interval by using the first table and the reference key. Be sure to look at the second table to see whether or not the engine is interference-fit.

{27} – On 1995 & prior models, replace at 60,000 mile intervals. On 1996 & later models, inspect every 30,000 miles or 24 months, replace every 60,000 miles or 48 months.

{56} – Normal service replace timing belt & inspect water pump every 60,000 miles or 48 months. Severe service inspect timing belt & water pump every 32,200 miles & replace every 64,400 miles.

{57} – Normal service inspect every 37,200 miles or 48 months & replace every 56,000 miles or 72 months. Severe service inspect every 32,200 miles & replace every 64,400 miles.

{58} – Normal service replace every 90,000 miles or 72 months. Severe service replace every 60,000 miles or 48 months.

{59} – Normal service replace every 60,000 miles or 48 months. Severe service replace every 40,000 miles or 48 months.

{60} – Normal service inspect every 37,500 miles & replace every 75,000 miles or 60 months: Severe service inspect every 25,000 miles & replace every 50,000 miles or 48 months

{65} Normal service, replace every 90,000 miles or 108 months. Severe service, replace every 60,000 miles or 72 months.

{66} Normal service, inspect every 30,000 miles or 24 months, replace every 60,000 miles or 48 months. Severe service, replace every 40,000 miles or 48 months.
