Exhaust

There is a difference in quality when it comes to exhaust.

Mufflers and pipes do “wear out,” get rusty, and break down. It’s a pretty tough neighborhood in the exhaust pipes and muffler.  A lot of heat, corrosive chemicals, moisture from condensation; and the parts are relatively thin.  Not to mention road water and even salt if you get snow.

This is one place you don’t want to skimp if you plan to keep the car for a while.

Discount muffler shops usually use generic or economy parts, or straight pipes, and custom bend them in the shop.  This does keep the cost down, but often the quality or thickness is less.  We use only high quality “factory fit” parts that we expect to last.
