HellNot a pleasant subject, and often avoided in today's churches. Nonetheless though, Jesus and the bible speak much about it. God did not create hell for man, but for the devil and his demons. However there is a punishment for sin, and it is primarily that you must be separated from God. He is perfect, glorious, holy, awesome, shining brighter than the sun and no sin can be near Him. When this age is over and God makes a final judgment on sin and the devil, there will be a new and perfect heaven and earth where sin has never touched. Those who have trusted in Christ to save them from their sins will live there forever in the personal presence of God Himself. Streets of gold will be nothing compared to the complete joy and fullness to be experienced in the home He has prepared for those that love Him. But then there are those who have rejected Him. They will be outside, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Some who have had a rough life think this earth is hell, and sadly many people have lived through untold horrors. But the earth still has the touch of God, and it can be found in many places, the smell of of a rose, the bright blue sky, the touch of a friend, even though some have missed out on it, the love of family, friend and church mirror God's love for us. But the Bible describes hell as a completely lost, lonely place of torment where fire is never quenched and the maggots eating the flesh never die. There is no goodness there, no truth, no peace, no hope, no God. Some people think they will be partying in hell with the devil and their old friends. What a foolish and dark hope. I beg you, don't blindly fall into a pit from which there is no escape! Receive the way out now, before it is too late, receive Jesus- the lover of your soul. Jesus said. "The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy but I have come that you may have life and that more abundantly" The devil has lied to you, there is a hell, and it is a place of torment; but there is a heaven and Jesus is waiting to take you there, please let Him. |
